Welcome! Blog Intros + Site Navigation
Welcome to my blog! I want to extend gratitude to anyone who has stumbled upon my website, as it was made with a lot of care. When creating this website, I thought long and hard about how I wanted to represent myself, especially so early in my professional career. I hope that this website has provided a good sense of my interests, passions, and skills, as well as how I think, create, and problem-solve. This website is intended to primarily serve as a place to store my portfolio, as it can be updated frequently and easily in this format. Additionally, the site contains a blog section as a place to store any significant news, milestones, thought pieces, or insights that I feel are significant to my growth as a professional.
As the most significant part of this website, I spent considerable time figuring out how to organize my portfolio. Ultimately, I decided to separate my experiences into skills categories, based on how skills are frequently broken up on jobs listings. Some work experiences are listed on more than one page, with special focus given to the aspects of the role that featured the highlighted skills. The categories are:
Social Content & Design: This page is dedicated to all of the social media content that I have produced, highlighting skills in graphic design, video editing, content creation, scheduling, editorial design, and social strategy.
PR Writing, Reporting, and Research: Features all written work that I have completed through past work experiences, including editorial reporting pieces, ghostwritten articles, columns for a university publication, and my Bachelor’s thesis.
Community Engagement and Impact: As someone with a background in community organizing, this page contains a mix of recent and older experiences that revolved around relationship building, community research, impact campaign research, and advocacy.
As mentioned previously, there is some overlap in organizations listed on each page because some roles involved a combination of the skills buckets listed. For convenience each page also includes a series of terms and tools that I developed proficiency in through the work experiences listed.
I hope this blog serves as a comprehensive review on how to navigate this site. Should you have any questions or wish to speak further, feel free to reach out via the Contact tab above.
